| Bio: | I try not to be secretive though it is my nature. This log is a ways of opening myself and my research up to greater exposure. I call myself an inventor or tinkerer but I'm supposedly an instructor and lecturer on the subject of advanced electrical and mechanical engineering. I myself specialize in optics. The class is supposedly for "super geniouses" but as you can probably tell from my atrocious spelling, I'm hardly what I would consider a genious. My students seem to like me and I make an effort not to abuse my co workers or interns too much though working with what I do I tend to enjoy "inventing" my fair share of silly pranks. I don't really communicate much with the other professors here besides those I see in my wing on a daily basis. It's not that I dislike them so much as I don't generaly think about it much. As far as who I am and what I look like, I'm a relatively short (5'5'') and somewhat lanky though as I excersize less I am getting kind of ponchy but my girlfriend seems to like it. I'm a ringtail which is a fairly uncommon species to find. More uncommon is the genetic mutation of albinism. It's taken many years of therapy but I've regained a very ghostly image of what my colors should have been though all my coloring is monochromatics from white to grey. The only alteration in that is where I recieved deep dermal inking to give my tail its stripes and my ears their color. It was a very painful procedure. You can usualy find me in my office or my lab during normal hours, some times later if I get wrapped up in something. I tend to do most of my research at home if I can help it while most of my more heavy duty work I do in my lab on campus. I tell my students on the first days of class each semester not to refer to me as "Doctor" mostly because while I am proud of my accomplishments, I don't wish to create a metaphysical barrier between myself and those whom I'm trying to teach. Though I'm not teaching any of you anything of worth, you don't need to call my doctor either if you don't wish to. Ma'am or miss or even my name work fine too. And yes if you must know I have sold weapons I've invented in the past to the military and I don't care what you think about that. Far too many of my students try to start debates in my class over such things but I simply won't hear of it. That was a long time ago. | |||||
